Two sets of siblings reach BBC’s 500 Words final

It was a family affair at the BBC’s 500 Words final this year, with two sets of siblings making it to the final round of the prestigious writing competition.

The competition, which challenges children aged 5-13 to write a short story of no more than 500 words, received an overwhelming number of entries this year. The finalists were chosen based on their creativity, originality, and storytelling skills.

Among the finalists were the Smith siblings, 10-year-old Emma and 8-year-old Jack, who impressed the judges with their heartwarming story about a magical adventure in a faraway land. The Jones siblings, 12-year-old Sophie and 9-year-old Liam, also wowed the judges with their suspenseful tale of a young detective solving a mysterious crime.

Both sets of siblings are thrilled to have made it to the final round and are looking forward to the awards ceremony, where the winner of the competition will be announced.
