So you accidentally dropped your iPhone in water and now it’s soaked. Don’t panic, there are ways to dry it off without using rice. Here’s what you should do:

1. Power Off

The first thing you should do is turn off your iPhone immediately to prevent any short circuits.

2. Remove the Case

If your iPhone is in a case, remove it to allow for better airflow.

3. Shake Out Excess Water

Gently shake your iPhone to remove any excess water.

4. Use a Lint-Free Cloth

Use a lint-free cloth to gently dab the exterior of your iPhone to absorb as much water as possible.

5. Placing in Silica Gel

Place your iPhone in a container filled with silica gel packets or a bowl of uncooked rice. Alternatively, you can use a desiccant like silica gel packets to absorb moisture.

6. Give it Time

Leave your iPhone in the silica gel or rice for at least 48 hours to allow for thorough drying.

Following these steps should help dry off your soaked iPhone without using rice. If your iPhone still doesn’t turn on after drying, it may be time to seek professional help.
