The derelict hotel home for Lebanon’s displaced
In a small town on the outskirts of Beirut, a derelict hotel has become a temporary home for many of Lebanon’s displaced citizens. The hotel, once a bustling hub for tourists, now stands empty and abandoned, its rooms filled with makeshift beds and personal belongings.
The residents of the hotel are mostly families who have been forced from their homes due to the ongoing conflict in the region. Many of them have been living in the hotel for months, unsure of when they will be able to return to their former lives.
Despite their difficult circumstances, the residents have formed a tight-knit community within the walls of the hotel. They share meals, look out for each other, and find solace in their shared experiences. Despite the challenges they face, they remain hopeful that one day they will be able to rebuild their lives and return to a sense of normalcy.
As the conflict in Lebanon continues to rage on, the derelict hotel remains a symbol of the resilience and strength of the country’s displaced citizens. Though their future may be uncertain, they continue to persevere and support each other in their time of need.
